Proadrenomedullin: An effective prognostic biomarker in septic patients. 2014;52(Suppl. 1):S9441434-6621http://hdl.handle.net/10668/2028Meeting abstractBackground: Measurement of biomarkers is a potential approach to early prediction of mortality in septic patients. The purpose of this study was to asses the prognostic value of proadrenomedullin (pADM) in adult patients with sepsis with a single measurement in the first 24 hours after the onset of severe sepsis or septic shock. Conclusions: The protein pADM is an important prognostic biomarker of survival when measured on admission of septic patients to the ICU.enProteinasMarcadores biológicosInfecciónQuímica clínicaLaboratoriosTasa de supervivenciaUnidades de cuidados intensivosMedical Subject Headings::Chemicals and Drugs::Hormones, Hormone Substitutes, and Hormone Antagonists::Hormones::Peptide Hormones::AdrenomedullinMedical Subject Headings::Chemicals and Drugs::Biological Factors::Biological MarkersMedical Subject Headings::Chemicals and Drugs::Amino Acids, Peptides, and Proteins::ProteinsMedical Subject Headings::Diseases::Bacterial Infections and Mycoses::Infection::SepsisMedical Subject Headings::Diseases::Bacterial Infections and Mycoses::InfectionMedical Subject Headings::Organisms::Eukaryota::Animals::Chordata::Vertebrates::Mammals::Primates::Haplorhini::Catarrhini::Hominidae::HumansMedical Subject Headings::Disciplines and Occupations::Natural Science Disciplines::Chemistry::Chemistry, ClinicalMedical Subject Headings::Health Care::Health Care Facilities, Manpower, and Services::Health Facilities::LaboratoriesMedical Subject Headings::Information Science::Information Science::Data Collection::Vital Statistics::Mortality::Survival RateMedical Subject Headings::Health Care::Health Care Facilities, Manpower, and Services::Health Facilities::Hospital Units::Intensive Care UnitsProadrenomedullin: An effective prognostic biomarker in septic patientsconference presentationopen access10.1515/cclm-2014-40311437-4331
