From mid-June to 2 August, excluding single household outbreaks, 673 outbreaks were notified nationally, 551 active (>6,200 cases) at the time. More than half of these outbreaks and cases coincided with: (i) social (family/friends' gatherings or leisure venues) and (ii) occupational (mainly involving workers in vulnerable conditions) settings. Control measures were accordingly applied.enAttribution 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/COVID-19SpainoutbreaktransmissionBetacoronavirusCOVID-19Coronavirus InfectionsDisease NotificationDisease OutbreaksHumansInfection ControlLeisure ActivitiesPandemicsPneumonia, ViralSARS-CoV-2SpainCOVID-19 outbreaks in a transmission control scenario: challenges posed by social and leisure activities, and for workers in vulnerable conditions, Spain, early summer 2020.research article32885777open access10.2807/1560-7917.ES.2020.25.35.20015451560-7917PMC7472688https://www.eurosurveillance.org/deliver/fulltext/eurosurveillance/25/35/eurosurv-25-35-1.pdf?itemId=%2Fcontent%2F10.2807%2F1560-7917.ES.2020.25.35.2001545&mimeType=pdf&containerItemId=content/eurosurveillance
