Various case reports have also documented cases of HEV transmitted through liver graft and transfusion [2,3]. Nevertheless, there are no data about the prevalence of HEV infection in deceased liver donors. Studies evaluating the risk of HEV transmission are needed in order to assess whether the universal screening of both organ donors and recipients for HEV infection should be introduced intoeveryday clinical practice. The objective of our study was to evaluate the prevalence of HEV infection in liver donors and recipients PB Elsevier YR 2018 FD 2018-07-12 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10668/12720 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10668/12720 LA en NO Rivero-Juarez A, Aguado R, Lopez-Lopez P, Sanchez-Frias M, Frias M, Briceño J, et al.
