Since the publication of the first lists of evidence-based psychological treatments for the different mental disorders, several professional and scientific institutions (such as the American Psychological Association [APA], the Cochrane Collaboration, and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence [NICE]) have been involved in recommending and spreading those treatments that are based on the scientific knowledge (evidence-based treatments, EBTs).
