dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study was to evaluate trends in small-for-gestational age covering the period before and after the Spanish economic crisis, taking into account mother's age, nationality and the autonomous community where she resides. We performed a trend study including children born to fertile women in Spain between 2002 and 2013. Poisson mixed models showed that the prevalence of small-for-gestational age increased following the onset of the crisis, and that a previous downward trend was interrupted. | |
