Abstract

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common respiratory disorder associated with cardiovascular comorbidities and cancer due to chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH). This condition affects the gut microbiome, altering its diversity and increasing intestinal permeability, which contributes to insulin resistance. Dysbiosis is linked to chronic diseases such as metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disorders.
