Abstract
Fundamentos: Las características de familia de origen y familia formada se relacionan con la carrera profesional de los/las profesionales de la medicina. El objetivo es describir, por sexo, las características de la familia de origen y de la familia propia o formada de especialistas de Medicina Familiar y Comunitaria de Andalucía. Métodos: Diseño transversal, multicéntrico. Emplazamiento: Centros de salud urbanos (CS) de capitales andaluzas. Participantes: MF de CS. Inclusión: mínimo un año utilizando la historia clínica informatizada y con el mismo cupo de pacientes. Muestra aleatoria polietápica, 88 CS y 500 médicas y médicos de familia, 50% de cada sexo (alfa=5%, potencia=90%, precisión=15%). Cuestionario postal autoadministrado. Variables: sexo, edad, formación postgraduada en medicina de familia, acreditación como tutor/a de residentes de formación postgraduada en medicina de familia, última ocupación de padre y madre, número hermanos/as, situación familia formada, última ocupación de pareja (si procede), hijos/as (si/no). Resultados: Respuesta: 73,6%, sin diferencias por sexo ni por acreditación como tutor/a de residentes de medicina de familia con no respuesta. Médicas 49,5±4,3 años, médicos 51,3±4,9 años (p=<0,005). Formación postgraduada en medicina de familia: médicas 42,2%, médicos 33,3% (p=0,016). Viven solas/os 6,1% de médicas y 2,7% de médicos (p=0,005), viven solas/os con hijos/as 9,9% de médicas y 2,2% de médicos (p=0,005). 16,5% de médicas y 10,2% de médicos sin descendencia (p=0,077). Trabajan sólo en el hogar 21,1% de parejas de médicos y 0,1% de parejas de médicas (p=<0,005). Ejercen la medicina 46% de parejas de médicas y 22% de parejas de médicos (p=<0,005). No hay diferencias en ocupación de progenitores ni en número de hermanos/as. Conclusiones: En nuestro medio no existen diferencias en la familia de origen entre las médicas y los médicos de familia. Sin embargo, se observan diferencias importantes en algunas características de la familia formada por ambos grupos.

INCLUSION CRITERIA at least one year using computerized medical history with the same quota patients. Multistage random sample, 88 primary health care centres and 500 physicians, 50% of both sexes (alpha=5%, power=90%, precision=15%). Postal auto administrated questionnaire. VARIABLES sex, age, tutor of resident in family medicine, last father's activity, last mother's activity, number of brothers or sisters, family situation, last couple's activity (if any), to have or not children. RESULTS 73.6 % responses. In no responses there weren't differences of sex neither tutor of resident in family medicine. Mean age: women physicians 49.5 +/- 4.3 and men physician 51.3 +/- 4.9 (p= or < 0.005). Postgraduate formation in family medicine: 42.2% of women and 33.3% of men (p=0.016). Live alone: 6.1% of women physician and 2.7% men physician (p=0.005). Live alone with children 9.9% of women and 2.2% of men (p=0.005). 16.5% of women and 10.2% of men don t have children (p=0.077). 21.1% of men physician s couples work only at home vs. 0.1% of women physician s couples (p= or < 0.005). 46% of women physician s couples is also physician vs. 22% of men physician s couples (p= or < 0.005).
